A New Chapter at Mid-Cape

A Letter from Jennifer Majewski

Dear Mid-Cape Members,
First of all, thank you. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your support, loyalty, and friendship over the years. Mid-Cape Athletic Club has been a part of this community for nearly 50 years and that is only possible because of the incredible people who have walked through these doors day after day, year after year.
I am honored to share that Mid-Cape is officially entering its third generation of family ownership.
As of June 1st, I have assumed ownership of the club from my father, Bob, who has led Mid-Cape for the past 30 years, continuing a legacy that began with my grandfather, Gene, nearly 50 years ago. At 99 years old, my grandfather still inspires all of us with his passion, work ethic, and commitment to people.
For me, this transition is deeply personal.
Some of my earliest memories are here at Mid-Cape. I grew up watching my father greet members by name, solve problems, celebrate milestones, and build relationships that lasted decades. Long before I understood what it meant to run a business, I understood what it meant to care about people. I watched them create more than a health club. They created a community.
Many of you have been part of that story from the very beginning.
Some of you knew my grandfather. Many of you have spent years with my father. Some of you have watched me grow up right here in this building. That history means more to me than I can adequately express.
While ownership may be changing hands, the values that built Mid-Cape are not.
My goal is to honor the legacy that came before me while continuing to invest in the future of our club. We have already begun making improvements throughout the facility and as we move forward, you’ll see additional enhancements designed to improve your experience while preserving the unique character that makes Mid-Cape special.
One of the qualities I have always admired most about both my father and grandfather was their willingness to listen. They believed that the strength of this club came from the people inside it, and I couldn’t agree more.
As I step into this role, I want to hear from you.
Your ideas, your feedback, your concerns, and your vision for Mid-Cape matter. Over the coming months, I’ll be spending time talking with many of you personally because I believe the best decisions for our future should be shaped by the members who have helped make this place what it is today.
Very few businesses have the privilege of serving a community for nearly five decades. Even fewer have the opportunity to continue through three generations of the same family. That is a responsibility I do not take lightly.
Thank you for trusting our family for all these years. It is truly an honor to continue the legacy that my grandfather began and my father carried forward. I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead, and I look forward to building the next chapter together.
Gratefully,
Jennifer Majewski
