Betsy Lockhart Casey
Harwich • Age 59 • Monomoy High School Guidance Registrar
What are your interests, hobbies, and talents outside of MCAC?
I love spending time with family and friends and exploring the Cape with my black lab Molly. I especially treasure time with my 91 year old mom, whether we are running errands or having lunch together.
When you’re not at MCAC, where would we find you?
At the beach with friends, traveling, or finding a new favorite spot around the Cape.
What days times are you normally at MCAC?
On the courts a few times a week, plus strength or cardio, usually ending with the sauna or hot tub.
Tell us about your sports and fitness background.
I have always stayed active, but found tennis later and quickly fell in love with it, leading to town teams and USTA leagues.
When did you start at MCAC? How did you first get exposed to MCAC? How did your first couple of workouts go?
I joined in 2020 after hearing Mid Cape is the place. It quickly became an outlet during a chaotic time and a way to connect with others.
What is your favorite movement workout?
Tennis is my favorite, along with a mix of strength, yoga, and spin.
What impact has MCAC had on your life?
It has become my second home, a place to have fun, relieve stress, and build meaningful friendships.
Do you have a favorite MCAC moment?
Tabata for Tatas is always special, and watching Andreas win his UTR division was incredibly inspiring.
What is your advice for people just getting started or thinking about starting MCAC?
Taking care of yourself is a choice, and it starts with deciding you are worth it.
What is keeping you at MCAC?
The people and the feeling of walking into a place that truly feels like home.

March Member of the Month
Jane Craig
Eastham • Age 47 • Doctor
What are your interests outside of MCAC?
When I’m not at MCAC, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis, running, reading, cooking, and gardening.
When would we find you outside the club?
Running on the bike path, walking in the woods, or shuttling my kids around!
What’s your sports and fitness background?
I played sports throughout high school and college. I took up tennis several years ago so I could play mixed doubles with my father.
What impact has MCAC had on your life?
MCAC has provided a way to stay active and healthy while having fun with friends.
Favorite MCAC moment?
Playing — and winning — my first USTA match ever, with my dad as my partner!
Advice for someone thinking about joining?
You should definitely join! Whether you play tennis, lift weights, or do cardio, you’ll be glad you did. The people — both staff and members — are top-notch.

What are your interests, hobbies, and talents outside of MCAC?
Traveling, going to the beach, being with friends and family!
When you're not at MCAC, where could we find you?
Going for walks, traveling anywhere & everywhere, planning trips, watching the sunset, going out with friends & spending time with the people I love,
What days/times are you normally at MCAC?
During the week, 5:30 for a class & back at 8 pm cardio & on the weekend in the mornings.
Tell us about your sports/fitness background.
I started working out in February of 2021 & have lost 100 + pounds and haven’t taken a day off since!
When did you start at MCAC? How did you first get exposed to MCAC? How did your first couple of workouts go?
I joined in March of 2023! Everyone at my work is a member here, so they suggested I join, and I haven’t looked back since! I didn’t start taking classes until the summer of 2024 and quickly became obsessed with all the different workouts & classes
What is your favorite movement/workout?
Definitely any of Rebecca & Jenn’s classes & a good 8 pm treadmill walk!!
What impact has MCAC had on your life?
It has become a place that feels like a second home. No matter how the day went, I am always happy to come & end my day here!
Do you have a favorite MCAC moment?
Tabata for Tatas! Such a good vibe in the class for a great cause.
What is your advice for people just getting started or thinking about starting MCAC?
It doesn't take long to get involved! Everyone is here for the same reason & interests, you’ll never know who you'll meet here and all the connections you’ll make!
What is keeping you at MCAC?
How kind and caring everyone is! All members & staff are always happy to help with anything and everything! It's a true community atmosphere that carries beyond the gym!
